Although Longboat Key provides easy access back to the mainland, there is enough to do here to keep you as busy as you want to be. Dining out, playing golf or tennis, and beach combing are just some of the many enjoyable activities.
Beach – There is a lot to like about living on Longboat Key, but the beach that stretches from one end of the island to the other is certainly a big selling point. You could spend all day walking in the sand under the Florida sun!
As a narrow strip of land between Sarasota Bay and the Gulf, there are not a lot of properties available on Longboat Key at any given time. Interested buyers typically have to act quickly to make a purchase.
Residents often visit St. Armands just to the south of the key for dining and shopping, and getting into downtown Sarasota is as easy as heading back to the east across the John Ringling Causeway.
